Influencers in India can be categorized based on the number of followers they have, ranging from macro-influencers with millions of followers to micro-influencers with smaller, but highly engaged audiences. Here are different types of influencers in India categorized by their follower counts:
Celebrities: Film stars, Sportsperson both current and former, often have massive followings on social media. They use their platforms to promote movies, brands, and personal ventures.
Mega-Influencers (1 million- 10 Million followers): These are typically celebrities, Bollywood actors, sports stars, or well-known public figures who have a massive following on social media.
Macro-Influencers (100,000 – 1 million followers): These influencers have a substantial following and often cover a range of niches, such as fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and travel.
Mid-Tier Influencers (50,000 – 100,000 followers): Mid-tier influencers have a respectable following and can provide a more targeted and engaged audience for niche brands.
Micro-Influencers (10,000 – 50,000 followers): Micro-influencers have smaller but highly engaged and loyal followings. They are often seen as more authentic and relatable.

Content Creators without a Significant Following: Some content creators may not have a large following but produce high-quality and niche-specific content, making them valuable to brands seeking a specific audience.
